MEET THE FOUNDER
KYLE CRUM
Founder & Chief Executive Officer | Visidium Global
Security is more than a profession — it's a commitment to protecting people when they need it most. That belief is the foundation upon which Visidium Global was built.
Kyle Crum founded Visidium Global with a clear mission: to raise the standard of private security in Florida by combining real operational experience, disciplined leadership, and concierge-level customer service into one professional protective services organization. Rather than simply supplying bodies to fill a post, Visidium Global was created to become a trusted security partner — capable of protecting people, property, businesses, executives, and critical operations through proactive planning, professional execution, and unwavering integrity.
Kyle brings more than a decade of combined experience spanning military service in the 82nd Airborne Division, municipal law enforcement, multi-agency task force operations, executive protection, private security leadership, and business ownership. Throughout his career, he has operated in fast-moving, high-consequence environments where sound judgment, calm decision-making, attention to detail, and professionalism were never optional — they were the job.
That experience continues to shape every aspect of Visidium Global today, from the way posts are staffed to the way client contracts are written.
A Foundation Built on Service
Kyle's professional journey began in the U.S. Army, where he served as a paratrooper with the storied 82nd Airborne Division, before being honorably discharged. Airborne operations demand precision, discipline, and the ability to perform complex, high-risk tasks as part of a coordinated team — lessons that don't fade once the uniform comes off. Convoy operations, load planning, and vehicle handling in high-risk environments became second nature, and those same principles of preparation and readiness would later define his approach to protective operations.
After his military service, Kyle continued serving his community through a career in Florida law enforcement — where he worked as a Gang Liaison supporting intelligence gathering and enforcement tied to organized criminal activity; then, where he was selected as a Field Training Officer responsible for developing and evaluating incoming personnel; and later where he conducted intelligence-driven enforcement operations as part of a Multi-Agency Gang Task Force.
Across those years, Kyle responded to high-risk and high-liability incidents, including encounters involving armed subjects, and provided immediate trauma care in life-threatening situations until EMS arrival. He completed Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) training at multiple agencies, building an exceptionally deep foundation in high-risk and pursuit driving that few private security professionals ever acquire. He worked alongside detectives, SWAT operators, and specialized units during complex, multi-agency operations — strengthening his ability to communicate, coordinate resources, and perform effectively when conditions were changing by the minute.
While many security professionals only ever experience controlled environments, Kyle's law enforcement background required operating in unpredictable, sometimes volatile situations where preparation, composure, and professionalism directly influenced outcomes. Those instincts cannot be taught in a classroom. They are built one call, one shift, one decision at a time.
From Public Service to Private Protection
Transitioning into executive protection allowed Kyle to build on the operational foundation developed throughout his military and law enforcement career, while shifting the focus from reactive response to proactive risk management.
Executive protection is often misunderstood. It is not simply standing beside a client or acting as a visible bodyguard. True executive protection is built around planning — advance work, site surveys, threat assessments, protective intelligence, route reconnaissance, secure and motorcade transportation, and continuous situational awareness, all executed with a low-profile presence and a strong command presence when it's needed.
Kyle is ESS Global Executive Protection Certified and trained in motorcade operations, with experience in multi-vehicle movement, positioning, and route execution. He has served in both solo protective assignments and multi-agent details, operating as Agent in Charge (AIC) when leading a detail and as a frontline protective agent when supporting one. As Director of Protection for 242 Group (USA), Kyle leads executive protection operations throughout the United States for corporate executives, public figures, and high-net-worth individuals — conducting protective advances, venue assessments, route planning, and operational risk mitigation, while coordinating multi-agent teams and maintaining consistent standards across deployed personnel.
That range of experience culminated most recently in large-scale live event security work: Kyle served as Deputy Tour Security Lead in direct support of the Director of Tour Security for an internationally touring artist, managing 150+ security personnel across venue posts during back-to-back tour legs at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and the Alamodome in San Antonio. He served as the primary liaison between touring staff and venue operations teams, supervised VIP check-in and escort operations, and manned critical posts during principal movement — giving him direct, current experience coordinating protective operations at a stadium scale under real time pressure.
His philosophy remains consistent regardless of the assignment: prevent problems before they happen. The best executive protection operation is often the one the client barely notices.
Building Visidium Global
After years of serving others — first in uniform, then in law enforcement, then in the executive protection industry — Kyle recognized an opportunity to build a company that reflected the standards he believed the private security industry should uphold, but too often didn't.
Visidium Global was founded on the belief that security should never be treated as simply filling a post. Every client deserves a customized security solution developed around their specific risks, operational needs, and long-term objectives. Too often, security companies focus solely on staffing positions and moving on. Visidium Global focuses on solving problems.
Whether protecting a corporate executive, securing a luxury waterfront estate, providing mobile patrols for a Florida HOA, safeguarding a construction project, coordinating event security, or deploying a hurricane response team, the objective remains the same:
Protect people. Protect property. Protect operations.
Visidium Global operates as a Florida-licensed protective services and risk management company under Agency License #B3600271, fully compliant with Florida Statute Chapter 493. That license — and the discipline required to earn and maintain it — is what allows Visidium Global to legally deliver everything from unarmed patrol services to armed executive protection details across the state.
Leadership Through Experience
Leadership is earned through consistency, accountability, and example — not a title on a business card.
Throughout his career, Kyle has led teams, developed operational procedures, coordinated complex security operations, trained personnel, managed protective assignments, and built organizations focused on professionalism and service. As a Field Training Officer, he was directly responsible for shaping how newer officers approached judgment under pressure. As Agent in Charge on protective details, he has carried responsibility not just for a client's safety, but for the performance and safety of every agent on the detail.
As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Visidium Global, Kyle remains actively involved in the operational side of the business. Rather than leading exclusively from behind a desk, Kyle believes leaders should understand the realities their personnel face every day — the long shifts, the difficult clients, the split-second decisions. This hands-on leadership style allows Visidium Global to maintain high standards while continuously improving training, operational procedures, customer service, and protective capabilities.
Every policy implemented within the company is influenced by real-world operational experience — not theory pulled from a textbook.
Leadership Philosophy
Kyle's approach to leadership is built on a simple idea: you cannot ask personnel to hold a standard you're not willing to hold yourself. That means staying current on licensing and training, staying involved in field operations, and treating every contract — no matter the size — with the same level of planning and professionalism as a high-profile executive protection detail.
He believes security leadership is fundamentally about risk ownership. A post order is only as good as the person who wrote it having actually thought through what could go wrong. A protective detail is only as strong as the advance work behind it. That's why Kyle personally oversees the development of Visidium Global's operational documentation — post orders, incident reporting protocols, client service agreements, threat assessment frameworks — rather than treating them as boilerplate paperwork.
It also means building a culture where personnel are trained, not just deployed. Security officers who understand the "why" behind a protocol perform differently than those who are simply told where to stand. Kyle's law enforcement background as a Field Training Officer directly informs how Visidium Global onboards and develops its team: structured evaluation, clear expectations, and accountability at every level.
